Conservation Team Lead – Taraiti Bird Program (Seasonal)

New Zealand Government is seeking a supervisor to lead a Rangers team focused on conserving New Zealand's Taraiti, the rare endemic breeding bird. The role is full-time and fixed-term from September 2026 to March 2027 with flexible working options.

The supervisor will guide nine temporary and four permanent Rangers, coordinating schedules, training and safe delivery of conservation actions while supporting staff well-being and partnerships with iwi, hapū, and whānau.
