Job Description
Become a valued team member as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Thorpe Recovery Centre, working within nurturing and structured detox and residential programs for those with substance use concerns. Lead care initiatives in Alberta’s recovery environment.
In this role, your primary duties will include comprehensive assessments, responding to medical emergencies, and promoting safety for clients undergoing treatment. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create a supportive and effective recovery plan tailored to individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess client conditions and document observations daily
• Conduct initial nursing assessments for new clients
• Implement care plans and track client progress
• Manage emergency situations and provide first-response care
• Support Community Support Workers and assist with client needs
Requirements:
• Practical Nurse Diploma and current practice permit
• Certification in Basic Life Support or First Aid
