Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
- Participate as a materials team member in new process and product development.
- Support supply base / commodity strategies consistent with business initiatives and SRM ideology (Supplier Relationship Management).
- Engage and support site procurement teams to identify part supply constraints that may impact production schedule and create mitigation plans.
- Complete supplier and cost/benefit analysis to support selecting the best supplier and optimum supply chain.
- Create cost models for key commodity areas of responsibility. Support senior strategic commodity management team to negotiate price and contract agreements and ensure key contractual reductions are realized.
- Implement and support tailored development plans for strategic suppliers and potential suppliers.
