Collections Specialist

Description
We are looking for a Collections Specialist to join a growing law firm in Severna Park, Maryland on a contract basis with the potential for a permanent role. This position supports the firm by managing delinquent accounts, communicating with property owners, and helping maintain accurate case information. The ideal candidate brings a calm, service-minded approach to difficult conversations and is comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment with opportunities for training and long-term growth.


Responsibilities:

• Manage past-due accounts for clients, following established collection procedures and deadlines.

• Communicate with property owners by phone and other channels to discuss outstanding balances, explain next steps, and encourage workable payment arrangements.

• Prepare and process collection-related documentation such as liens, legal filings, and wage garnishment materials in coordination with the legal team.
