Your Mission: The main role of a machining programmer is to design and optimize numerical control (NC) programs to control machine tools in a machine shop.
His Responsibilities Include
- Tool Path Optimization: Adjusting parameters to improve cutting tool efficiency, accuracy, and tool life.
- Drawing and Interpretation: Using technical drawings and specifications to ensure tolerances and customer requirements are met.
- Tool and Machining Parameter Selection: Selecting cutting speeds, feeds, depths of cut, and machining strategies appropriate for materials.
