Tool Designer

RPM International Tool and Die Ltd has been operating for 30 years and is New Zealand’s leading privately owned tool making manufacturer. The Design department is expanding, and we require a highly skilled Tool Designer with project management skills.

• Undertake complete tool design from concept to reality using ProE software.
• Manage projects.
• Produce hard copy drawings for manufacture.
• Produce complete bill of materials.
• Liaise with sales staff and clients.
• Maintain the ISO quality system.
• Ensure product compliance.
• Initiate, implement and document improvements.

• Qualified Tool Maker with 5 to 10 years of manufacturing experience.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience as a Tool Designer.
• Full working knowledge of all tool types, press tooling and plastic injection mold tooling.
• 3‑D modelling experience is helpful.
