We are seeking a CNC Lathe Set-Up Operator to join our team! You will help oversee operational activities and ensure excellent quality control. The CNC Lathe Machinist is responsible for setting up jobs on the CNC Lathe for metal and plastic components with tight tolerances. The position requires the individual to be able to take the program provided, set-up the machine, create tooling layouts and meet production set-up and run times.
Responsibilities:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience setting up Lathe Machines
- Must be able to effectively install tooling, set-up unsupervised within the required set-up and run times for each operation
- Capable of changing tools and editing programs for increased efficiency
- Capable of using appropriate measuring tools and equipment
- Capable of choosing appropriate cutting tools, machine fixture clamps and soft jaws
