CareFirst runs a **year-round** internship program. The ideal candidate is someone who can work **_throughout the year up to 15-20 hours in the Spring/Fall and up to 40 hours in the summer._** **This internship will start in October 2026.**

The Middleware Services department maintains our enterprise middleware platforms, including Kubernetes, WebSphere, TIBCO, and MQ. Middleware Services also supports our JIRA platform, external SFTP, and our content serving Web Servers. We also support a variety of IT tools, including Axway API Gateway and some internally developed deployment tools.

**PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:**

Assignments will vary based primarily on the teams need but also skillset(s) the incumbent bring(s) and/or wishes to develop.
