Job Description
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To lead an expert patient-oriented pharmaceutical care service that promotes the appropriate use of medicines in the hospital
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- Provide Clinical Pharmacy Services to the hospital
- Initiate and implement the Antimicrobial Stewardship Programme and enhance the appropriate utilisation of antimicrobials
- Provide information related to pharmaceutical utilisation, trends, strategies and medication to the hospital
- Mitigate and support the management of pharmaceutical risks in the hospital
- Ensure accurate dispensing where applicable
REQUIRED EDUCATION
DESIRED EDUCATION: Antimicrobial Stewardship course, Infection Prevention and Control related course
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years’ experience as a Ward or Clinical Pharmacist
