Clinical Optometrist

About the Role

The Clinical Optometrist is responsible for performing various eye diagnostic procedures, examining the visual system, diagnosing problems or impairments, and prescribing corrective lenses and eye care solutions.

Vision Testing and Refraction

• A. Case History Taking – Conducts comprehensive clinical interviews regarding the patient’s chief and secondary complaints by asking relevant questions that will elicit ocular and medical history. Ensures an understanding of the patient’s condition to aid in the diagnostic procedure and management.
• B. Vision Testing and Refraction – Performs accurate visual acuity, subjective and objective refraction, and other procedures such as keratometry, lensometry, trial fitting, and cycloplegic refraction.
