Job Description
Responsibilities
- Analyse charterparties and all related shipping documents and create and compute demurrage and shipping-related claims with shipowners;
- Review charterparty related demurrage and shipping costs claims received;
- Analyse sale contracts and all related documents (including GTCs) and create and compute demurrage and shipping related claims with counterparties, including suppliers, receivers and terminals;
- Review demurrage and sales contract related demurrage and shipping costs claims received;
- Counter and negotiate settlements; Liaise with the internal business where required;
- Develop and maintain strong relationships both with counterparties and with the internal business;
- Assist in regularly reporting outstanding positions to Management;
- Keep abreast of industry developments and legal case law to ensure charterparty and/or trading terms are relevant and updated.
