Civil Structural Designer / Diseñador/a Civil Estructural

Job Summary

The position will be responsible for training to manage CSA Bechtel concrete and steel software, learning to develop concrete models, Microstation CAD drawings, and applying and learning applicable industry standards and codes, accepted design practices and quality standards for a global business unit.

Major Responsibilities

• Preparing 2-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) plant layouts and study drawings from which detailed design 3-D CAD models and/or construction drawings are completed.
• Preparing portions of 3-D CAD design model under the supervision of experienced designers (S3D Program Preferred).
• Reviewing and checking calculations, designing models, drawings and design documents prepared by others in the group and by material suppliers, as assigned.
• Preparing bulk material quantity takeoffs and material requisitions for materials applicable to the discipline.
