Carpenter

As a Carpenter in Svalbard you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining wooden structures and fixtures on our project site. This is a contract position with a salary of $1700 per month and includes accommodation. This job is suitable for men who have experience in carpentry and are willing to work in the unique environment of Svalbard.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine materials required.
• Measure, cut, shape, join, and assemble wooden parts according to specifications.
• Install structures such as scaffolding, framing, and walls.
• Repair or replace damaged or rotting wood structures.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets standards and complies with building codes.
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols on the job site.
