What You'll Do
- Oversight of inventory levels for assigned commodities to maintain healthy stock levels and improve inventory turns.
- Leverage market insights to drive competitive pricing strategies and proactively mitigate pricing risks.
- Analyze incoming goods against forecast/demand, establish reorder points in the system.
- Communicate purchase order requirements to the Purchasing Manager for approval.
- Review vendor scorecards, flag increasing risk to the Purchasing Manager, and conduct scorecard reviews with suppliers.
- Identify potential obsolete or slow‑moving material and forward to the Dry Goods Purchasing Manager for review.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with key suppliers.
