Buyer /Procurement officer- Contract- Silverton

Buyer Position

We are looking for a buyer with 2+ years of buying experience. This is a contract role, based in Silverton, Pretoria.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Procurement Officer is responsible for the purchasing of goods within the procurement department. Experience in buying raw materials is advantageous.

• Strong communication skills within the team and with clients.
• Maintaining good relationships with clients.
• Capturing information, sending it through to the relevant departments, and following up.
• Computer literacy: this role involves a lot of PC work on basic Microsoft Office, as well as buying programs.
• At least 2 years of buying experience is required to be comfortable stepping into this role.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

• Matric.
• 2+ years buying experience.
• Experience buying raw materials is advantageous.
• Bilingual: English and Afrikaans.
