Job Title: Buyer/Purchasing Assistant
Location: Butler, NJ
Type: Contract to Hire
Compensation: $28-$32/hour, depending on experience
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
Hours: Standard Business Hours
BUYER/PURCHASING ASSISTANT
Summary:
The Purchasing Assistant is primarily responsible for the day-to-day preparation of purchase orders via submitted and approved purchase requisitions. This position will transmit purchase orders to suppliers and monitor open purchase orders until delivery. In addition, the Purchasing Assistant will review material requirement reports and bar stock requirement reports to identify purchasing needs, as determined by the Purchasing Manager.
Responsibilities:
+ Place purchase orders for items with suppliers, including both MRO and inventory-related items
+ Obtain approval of purchase requisitions if requisitions are submitted without the proper approvals
