Job Description
What is the Opportunity?
As part of an alliance agreement, Aecon Nuclear has been awarded a contract with Ontario Power Generation to support the Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP). Beginning in 2025, Aecon will support the execution phase for the construction of Unit 1 of the Small Modular Reactor at the Darlington site. The Buyer will report directly to the Procurement Manager and will be responsible for negotiation and purchase of various commodities, equipment, and services for sites and projects, ensuring best value and adherence to procurement processes.
What You'll Do Here
- Solicit vendor pricing, negotiate, and procure subcontracted services, equipment, materials & components, including nuclear safety‑related materials for use in nuclear power plants, e.g., plate, structural steel, pipe, fittings, valves, weld consumables, electrical components, and PPE.
