The overall aim of the UKHSC Programme is to deliver new modern fit for purpose science facilities and create a hub for the scientific capabilities the UK needs to deliver on the key health security objectives. The UKHSC Programme aims to enhance and replace existing UKHSA infrastructure, most importantly its high-containment laboratories, which are essential for protecting the nation against potentially highly infectious diseases.
