Business Analyst

Overview

As New Zealand's independent environmental regulator, the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) protects the country’s unique environment, economy, and people. The Hazardous Substances team seeks a technically capable business analyst to own and continuously improve the IUCLID platform, a key software application used by international regulatory bodies in the chemical industry.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and improve the IUCLID solution package, including the application database, reporting database, publishing pipeline and Windows Server infrastructure.
• Participate in international IUCLID working groups and implement platform updates and upgrades.
• Assess emerging IUCLID‑adjacent tools for fit with EPA’s work.
• Manage relationships with multiple vendors to maintain and enhance the platform, translate business needs into requirements, prioritize work, deliver against agreements, test fixes and manage associat...
