Job Description
The Maryland Rural Development Corporation (MRDC) is a private non-profit organization that provides services in response to the needs of rural, low-income households and communities. MRDC serves as Caroline, Cecil, Harford and Kent Counties’ official Community Action Agency.
The Bus Monitor’s primary responsibility is ensures the safe and orderly transportation of children enrolled in the Head Start program. They assist the bus driver in maintaining a secure and nurturing environment for young children while traveling to and from school and program-related activities. The Bus Monitor supports children in boarding and exiting the bus, manages behavior, and ensures compliance with all safety regulations.
Requirements
Job Responsibilities:
+ Assist children in safely boarding and exiting the bus, including those with special needs.
+ Ensure children are properly secured in seat belts, child restraints, or safety harnesses as required.
