Budget Analyst

Summary The Budget Analyst is in the Fiscal Section at this Dayton VA Medical Center. The incumbent is primarily responsible for budget planning, preparation, projection, execution, comparative analysis, cost accounting, revenue and reimbursements, resource allocation, fund control point allocation and expenditures, and financial systems. Responsibilities Major duties include but not limited to: Monitors Fund Control Points (FCPs) to ensure obligations and expenditures are costed properly and established within budget ceilings. Provides cost/budget reports to Service Chiefs, Facility Leadership, and VISN Staff for facility programs. Performs budgeting for unstable operating programs that require reprogramming during the year to accommodate changes in patient workload, FTE increases, pay raises, etc. Analyze financial and budgetary relationships to develop recommendations for appropriate actions.
