Summary These positions located in Everglades National Park, in the Natural Resources Division. This is a temporary promotion not to exceed 1 year and can be extended up to 5 years. Responsibilities This position is located within the Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Southeast, Office of Natural Science Studies, Homestead, FL. At the full performance level (GS-09) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Serves as Biological Resource Monitor on infrastructure and development projects, conducting site visits to verify compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigation measures. Conducts field surveys for threatened and endangered species (including American crocodile, Florida bonneted bat, listed butterflies, listed plants, and other species), collects and analyzes biological data, and prepares reports for internal and partner agency review.
