**Job Title: Band Saw Operator**
**Job Description**
The Band Saw Operator primarily runs a vertical band saw to perform angle cuts on structural steel while also handling materials, assisting the welding team, operating a sit-down forklift, and performing general cleanup duties. The position serves as a stepping stone into other facility roles and requires the ability to read prints and bills of material to accurately cut and process metal components.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate a vertical band saw for approximately 80% of the workday to perform angle cuts on structural steel components such as C channel, I-beam, and other steel objects.
+ Read and interpret blueprints, prints, and bills of material to determine correct measurements, angles, and cutting requirements.
+ Handle and move pipe, raw metal, and finished product throughout the facility using appropriate material handling methods and equipment.
