Attorney Advisor (Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates)

We're seeking an IP attorney advisor in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates for the International Trade Administration/Global Markets (ITA/GM) and United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). This position reports to the Senior Commercial Officer and USPTO Attaché Program Director and must coordinate with the Economics Section, other parts of the U.S. Embassy in Abu Dhabi, and the USPTO.

This unique opportunity gives you the chance to live and work abroad while advocating for the benefit of U.S. stakeholders to improve policies, laws, and regulations that protect IP abroad.

This opportunity has a guaranteed two (2) year initial tour of duty. Extensions in increments of one (1) year, up to a maximum of five (5) years, are possible. Extensions are not guaranteed and no promise of an extension is implied.
