Associate Director, Legal Services - Construction

Position Overview

Oxford Properties, a leading global real estate investor, developer and manager, seeks a highly motivated lawyer to join its Canadian Legal Services team in Toronto. The Associate Director, Legal Services will advise on construction and development projects, manage external counsel, collaborate with various business units, and support compliance and risk activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support for all design and construction work (including RFPs, professional services agreements, architectural agreements, and CCDCs).
• Draft, negotiate and review commercial agreements such as building service agreements, operational agreements, consultant agreements and other supporting agreements.
• Advise internal business units on legal, regulatory and compliance matters, ongoing operational matters, contract reviews, development issues, legal disputes, litigation and strategy documents.
