Associate Director, Global Export and Trade Compliance

Position Summary

The Associate Director, Global Export and Trade Compliance (Associate Director) plays a vital role in ensuring the University’s compliance with U.S. export control laws and trade regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations. This position reports to the Executive Director, Global Export and Trade Compliance and supports the development, implementation, and day-to-day management of NYU’s Global Export and Trade Compliance Program, a core element of the University’s Global Ethics and Compliance Program. The Associate Director works under the direction of the GETC Executive Director, they are expected to operate independently, manage a significant portfolio of responsibilities, and engage with stakeholders across NYU’s campuses—including NY, Abu Dhabi, and Shanghai.
