The Dealer, Exchange Rate Management Unit acts as the main expert carrying out operations in the onshore foreign exchange market with his/her action having direct impact to the prevailing level of the ringgit and level of the Bank’s International Reserve position. The role demands quick thinking and ability to make split second decisions with limited information presented, as per the case with fast moving financial market movements. In addition, the role requires a candidate to be able to plan and analyse the best use of market strategies to achieve the Bank’s mandates in the FX market and management of International Reserves. The candidate should also display proactive curiosity in identifying and analysing various trends emerging and impacting the onshore FX market, with the desk having access to market participants, market trading activities and real‑time flows data.
