Job Description
The Assistant Research Scientist, part-time non-exempt, will be assisting to develop automated methods for data entry and data collection associated with micro computed tomographic scans from rhesus macaque skulls from Cayo Santiago, Puerto Rico housed in the Department of Anthropology in the CPRC-NYU skeletal collection. The Assistant Research Scientist will use machine learning and advanced statistical methods to quantify and reconstruct skeletal/dental tissue (and dental tissue loss).
This position is based in New York and the selected candidate will be expected to work onsite as of their effective start date.
The preferred start date is July 27. The position is for 2 months at 20 hours per week.
