About the role

Salary - £25,747
Hours - 37 per week
Contract type - full time, fixed term for 24 months

The City of Wolverhampton Council is looking for an Apprentice to promote and support the work and services of the Revenue and Benefits team. The apprenticeship is a Level 4 Revenues and Welfare Benefits Practitioner Apprenticeship, with on‑the‑job training and recognised qualifications.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in ensuring we pay the right benefit to the right person at the right time.
  • Collect the right amount from the right person and take effective recovery of debt owed to the Council.
  • Administer accounts and advise customers on welfare benefits.
  • Use various IT systems that support the efficient delivery of our services.
