Analytics & Insights, Traineeship [GRIT@Gov]

This role will support STB’s data analytics initiatives. You will work with the current team of analysts on processing large datasets and developing sophisticated statistical methods, to achieve more robust insights.

• Develop Statistical Models and Imputation Methods
  • Conduct statistical analysis (e.g., multivariate modelling) to identify and establish visitor profile groups across multiple dimensions, and attribute the spending patterns accordingly.
  • Design and implement imputation models for missing values using advanced statistical techniques.
  • Validate findings and model performance by applying statistical tests such as the Kruskal–Wallis Test and One‑Way ANOVA.
• Data Preparation and Integration
  • Integrate and standardise multiple datasets, with large number of fields and records.
  • Reconcile differences in field names, value encodings, and business logic across tables.
