Right now, we have a vacancy for an Anaesthetist to join the department of Anaesthesia at Timaru Hospital. Located in the South Island of New Zealand, the district of South Canterbury is centrally located and an easy place to live and work, with instant access to an array of outdoor activities.

The team of ten actively service four theatres, an Obstetric Unit (averaging 590 births per year), and a combined Intensive Care Unit/Coronary Care Unit, all with the assistance of Anesthetic Technicians and skilled Theatre, Day Patient Stay and ICU Nursing staff.

This position provides efficient, safe and appropriate anesthetic services, intensive care unit and pain management treatment as well as day‑patient and outpatient clinic sessions.
