Allied Health Assistant - Occupational Therapy (Mental Health Inpatient Services), 0.5FTE Fixed Term – Nelson

Work location: Nelson Hospital, NewZealand.

Employment Details

Fixed‑term role for up to 6 months. 40hours a fortnight (0.5FTE), most likely Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Hours can be negotiated to meet service needs.

Responsibilities

• Support Occupational Therapists in providing patient‑centred care.
• Assist patients with engaging in meaningful activities that promote recovery, independence and participation in everyday life.
• Help Occupational Therapists focus on clinical priorities such as comprehensive assessments, care planning, complex interventions and risk management.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team – nursing, medical, psychology, social work and other allied health professionals.
