Job Description
**Aircraft Maintenance Technician Assistant**
**Definition:** This is not a technical aircraft laborer. Incumbents at this level are non- certificated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and, under the direction of a certificated technician, will clean aircraft and parts, assist in aircraft maintenance, and work in the shop.
**M** **inimum Qualifications:** Possession of the following certificates: High School Diploma or GED and a valid Class-C Driver’s License.
**K** **n** **owledge and Abilities:** Basic maintenance procedures and shop safety. Work in a shop environment, follow instructions, manipulate hand and power tools, operate forklift and tow tugs, and work cooperatively with others. This position may be assigned other duties and tasks in the program as directed.
