- Lead the design and optimization of search relevance, ranking, and overall user experience on the Mi.com platform
- Architect and evolve end-to-end search systems, including query understanding, retrieval, ranking, and re-ranking pipelines
- Build scalable and production-ready ML systems for search, handling large-scale real-time and unstructured data
- Develop advanced query understanding capabilities (e.g., query rewriting, intent classification, semantic parsing)
- Optimize system performance across relevance, latency, and scalability dimensions
- Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot ML models in production environments
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver impactful search improvements
