Job Description
Transform infrastructure planning with your GIS expertise as a GIS Specialist at Aecon, based in Ontario. Utilize advanced geospatial solutions and CAD/BIM integration to enhance community connectivity.
In this role, you will collaborate with the GIS Manager to implement geospatial solutions for infrastructure projects. Your background of 3–7 years in GIS, coupled with your skills in ETL pipelines and Python scripting, will be essential for bridging construction operations and CAD/BIM data. You will also support site operations through field maps and dashboards customized for project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate on geospatial design for projects
• Maintain FME ETL pipelines for CAD/BIM integration
• Assist in field operations and quality assurance
• Create scripts/tools for workflow automation
• Build and publish dashboards and web services
Requirements:
• 3–7 years in GIS with FME experience
• Proficient in ArcGIS and geospatial techniques
