Role Overview

Reporting to the Indigenous Engagement Coordinator, the Indigenous Engagement Advisor will play an integral role supporting indigenous engagement initiatives on site and with indigenous communities.

Core Responsibilities

• Work to foster and maintain positive relationships with local Indigenous communities and the local community.
• Support coordination of Indigenous Implementation Committee meetings, including preparation of meeting minutes, tracking of action items and Goals & Objectives.
• Support coordination of events, fundraising, and tours for Indigenous and local community groups.
• Support Human Resources Department with hiring of local Indigenous peoples and work to improve hiring success of Indigenous candidates.
