The Opportunity:
Lesley University’s Graduate Department of Expressive Therapies is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach GEXTH 6105, Examining Power, Privilege & Oppression in Clinical Practice. Wednesdays 9:35AM - 12:05PM. Fully in-person, on-campus.
Course Description: The focus of this course is to develop a critical multi-cultural lens regarding the social cultural foundations of the counseling process. Students will develop an awareness and knowledge of power, privilege and oppression and the way these may be expressed in personal and interpersonal behaviors at the micro and macro levels. An exploration of strategies to identify and eliminate cultural barriers, prejudice, and discriminatory practices will also be cultivated.
