The Nanaimo MHSU program seeks an experienced physician to deliver general practitioner addiction services to clients dealing with severe substance use and mental health disorders. You'll engage in direct patient care across multiple supportive housing locations and utilize your skills to improve the health outcomes of a vulnerable population.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and treat a range of acute and chronic health issues
• Conduct screenings for STIs and viral illnesses
• Facilitate addiction medicine services and harm reduction strategies
• Work collaboratively with nursing and mental health teams
• Provide teaching and mentorship for medical students
