Academic Learning Advisor

Overview

We are looking for a person to join our team who has a strong academic foundation of knowledge and experience to support ākonga while they study here at Wintec. In this Academic Learning Advisor role, you will focus on helping ākonga develop their academic capability, in particular their academic writing and reading skills. Working alongside kaiako / tutors and support staff, you will foster a positive learning environment with a focus on equity for Māori and Pacific learners. The position is fulltime (fixed term), 37.5 hours a week.

Responsibilities

• You will deliver effective teaching strategies, including technology tools, and will aid in student retention, success, and completion initiatives at Wintec.
