Academic Coach/Mentor (Toronto)

Overview

StudySpot is looking for Academic Coach/Mentors to provide academic support to middle school and high school students in Toronto and the surrounding Greater Toronto Area. Academic Coaching is an effective form of academic support that targets how students learn rather than what they learn. For over 20 years, StudySpot has supported bright, capable, post‑secondary bound students who underachieve due to a lack of organization and/or academic skills.

Coaching sessions are delivered in person at local libraries around the Greater Toronto Area, with some sessions available virtually on our StudySpot platform. Training is provided, and sessions are typically scheduled after school, in the evenings, or on weekends. Coaches work from geographically accessible libraries; caseloads are usually 4–6 students per week, totaling 4 to 9 hours per week, though larger caseloads are possible.
