ABLE SEAMAN, ADVANCED (CERT)

Amentum is seeking a **Able Seaman, Advanced** for a position on **Kauai, HI** . The Able Seaman (AB) (Advanced) is a Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) crew position aboard assigned US NAVY Range Support Craft for the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) at Barking Sands, HI. The AB is a junior deck position holding a current US Coast Guard MMC for National Able Seaman - SPECIAL (or greater) and works under the direction of a USCG licensed vessel Master and the Koa Lani Marine Systems Supervisor. The AB works at sea in various weather conditions primarily off the west coast of the Island of Kauai within the PMRF Barking Sands submarine training range. When in port, the AB performs daily operational tasks and general maintenance for assigned vessels and support equipment under the direction of the boat captains or other designated senior crewpersons. Additional tasks performed by the AB may be required on shore facilities, assigned small boats, shop equipment and special projects.
