Firearms and other projectile weapons are only as good as the ammunition that goes in them. That makes the storage and distribution of ammunition - all ammunition - an undertaking of paramount importance. As the Ammunition Specialist, you’ll ensure this vital job is done correctly through precise handling, storage, and documentation of ordnance. The primary responsibility of an Army National Guard Ammunition Specialist is to ensure the proper receipt, storage, documentation, and issuance of conventional ammunition, guided missiles, large rockets, and related items. These duties may include the inspection, modification, and demilitarization of various munitions. You will also learn how to maintain nuclear weapons, and how to handle, test, and maintain missiles and rockets. Job Duties
