IMPA-CNRS postdoctoral fellowships in Mathematics
The “Instituto de Matemática Pura e Aplicada” (IMPA) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, announces a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Mathematics. This is a one-year position, which may be renewed for one more year by mutual agreement between IMPA and the fellow, aimed at researchers who had or still are associated with the French mathematics academic community. The fellowship provides a tax-free stipend of R$ 9,000.00, accompanied by an additional monthly stipend of R$ 1,000.00 to support academic travels.
The position is open to applicants from all areas of Mathematics, both pure and applied.
To be eligible for this position, applicants must have completed a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics or related areas within the last 10 years (or complete a PhD degree by August 2026) as well as have academic ties with the French mathematics community and interest in a subsequent career in France.
