Overview
***This position is physically located in the Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP***
**This Job Posting only applies to RMI Citizens and must be authorized to work in the RMI to be considered for this Job**
Under the direction of the Port Captain, the Licensed Mariner I is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the U.S. Army LCM's and Ferry, or Catamaran Class vessels at Kwajalein or Roi Namur Islands. The vessel transit are near coastal areas within Kwajalein Atoll waters, which are designated as international waters for maritime regulatory purposes; Operates and maintains the assigned vessel and barges; Operates vessel with due regards to on time departures and safe navigation; Maintains log book and all associated vessel paperwork and certifications; Determines parts, supplies, and material requirements for job accomplishment; Supervises a crew of up to three people: an engineman and two deck hands; Conducts on the job-training of assigned pe...
